To create the best conditions for students to study at the university, Industrial University of Hồ Chí Minh City (IUH) has made adjustments in a more favorable direction for learners in the method of postgraduate admission in 2022.

Change in admission method: from Examination to Selection

Master’s degree is a popular direction for many people today, especially young ones with the desire to improve professional knowledge, combined with work experience to open up opportunities for advancement for future careers.

In 2022, IUH adjusted the graduate admission regulations, organized the selection to reduce the pressure on candidates but still ensure the enrollment as prescribed. In order to participate in the selection, candidates need to ensure the conditions: Having graduated from the university in the right field or suitable for the major of registration; Holders of a university diploma similar to the major need to learn additional knowledge before considering admission (additional subjects of knowledge are determined based on the candidate’s bachelor transcripts); University degrees issued by foreign educational institutions must be recognized as prescribed. According to Dr. Lê Ngọc Sơn – Director of the Institute of International & Postgraduate Training: “The admission using the selection method helps reduce exam pressure for candidates, saving costs and time to prepare. The majority of graduate candidates are people who are employed, have practical experience, so this form of admission is a very suitable and effective approach.”

Diverse disciplines – Meet the needs of students

Industrial University of Hồ Chí Minh City is one of the few schools with multidisciplinary training at master’s level, from economics to engineering with 13 majors. In addition, the training program is divided into research-oriented training programs and application-oriented training programs.

In particular, the research-oriented training program is designed in the direction of providing learners with in-depth knowledge of the discipline, specialization and appropriate scientific research methods to be able to independently research, initially able to form scientific ideas, discover and test new knowledge.

On the other hand, the application-oriented training program will help learners improve their professional knowledge and skills in professional activities, have the ability to design products, promote and effectively use specialized knowledge in the performance of specific tasks, in accordance with the actual conditions in the workplace.

Scholarships allotted to master’s degrees up to 100%

Since 2020, IUH has issued an unprecedented scholarship policy for graduate students. Each of the above subjects has different levels of scholarship support, ranging from 15 to 100% of the full course tuition fee. At the 2021 Opening and Graduation Ceremony, the University awarded more than VND 250 million to new students who are good and excellent university graduates, 05 students with achievements in scientific research and students who are IUH alumni.
