- FUNCTION
1.1. Postgraduate Education
- Advice and suggestions to the principal on the development strategy of the school’s postgraduate education.
- Organization and development of synchronous solutions for the sustainable development of the school’s postgraduate education activities.
- Management of the university’s postgraduate education activities (including master’s. degrees and Doctorate degree).
1.2. International Education
- Management of approved and implemented joint training projects with foreign countries.
- Import of foreign training programs, construction of training programs from short courses, English, preparatory courses, university courses, master’s programs, doctoral programs.
- Organize training programs in collaboration with foreign entities leading to degrees.
- Organize collaborative study abroad programs (2+2, 1+3 models, etc.).
- Organize support services for international students studying at foreign universities.
- Organize support services for international students to study at the University in exchange program.
- DUTIES
2.1. Postgraduate Education
- Research the development needs of master’s and doctoral-level human resources in Vietnam, explore postgraduate education models worldwide, choose advanced and suitable models for potential application in Vietnam, and foster international collaboration in postgraduate education.
- Develop and submit to the Rector a plan, development plan, and training scale for master’s, doctoral, and postgraduate training for majors.
- Responsible to the Rector for postgraduate training management; collaborates with management faculties and functional departments in the organization and management of postgraduate education.
- Propose the needs and essential conditions for the teaching, learning, and research activities of postgraduate students and research scholars for approval by the R
- Proposes to the Rector on options and plans for using postgraduate training funding sources.
- Take the lead in drafting and presenting to the Rector for approval the decisions to issue regulations on postgraduate education at the University; Develop procedures, regulations, and guidelines for implementing the regulations on postgraduate education; Coordinate with other functional departments of the University to monitor and supervise the implementation of these regulations..
- Coordinate with Faculties/Institutes managing disciplines to determine majors, training scale, enrollment subjects, conversion subjects, additional knowledge, and entrance exam subjects; and develop training programs and submit them to competent authorities for approval
- Organize and manage the admission process for master’s, doctorate, and post-doctorate programs; Submit to the Rector for approval the list of successful candidates for postgraduate and research programs; Carry out procedures for the Rector to decide on the appointment of faculty advisors for master’s and doctoral theses; Complete procedures to report on the admission situation and results, and undergo examination and approval by the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Coordinate with Faculties/Institutes managing disciplines to plan teaching and create timetables; Organize teaching, testing, and monitoring the training progress of the University’s graduate classes.
- Monitor, inspect, and confirm the teaching workload; Coordinate with Office of Finance and Accounting to settle remuneration for lecturers and advisors for master’s and doctoral theses
- Coordinate with Faculties/Institutes managing disciplines and relevant units to maintain connections, collaborate with alumni of the University to receive feedback, contributions, and opinions regarding postgraduate education, including training models, programs, faculty, learning conditions, and responsiveness to the needs of businesses and society.
2.2. International training
- Coordination with Office of Science Management and International Affairs in building strategies for developing training and international cooperation; Plan international cooperation and exchange on postgraduate training and seek international partners in postgraduate training.
- Presides over organizing and implementing joint postgraduate training programs at home and abroad.
- Participates in the construction of the school’s training programs according to international standards at her three levels: Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate to improve training quality; At the same time, it attracts foreign students to study in Vietnam.
- Selectively develop high-quality programs and projects to contribute to shaping new education priorities and improve the capacity of school staff and teachers.
- Close relationships with faculties, departments and divisions of the school in organizing activities related to international cooperation.
- Transfer imported educational technology to specialized faculties to improve the quality of education across the university.
